ongoing special House session moved to the new Parliament building. The old Parliament will be turned into a museum.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Old_Parliament_Building-2\"><\/span><strong>Old Parliament Building<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>It is a <strong>164 pillared building<\/strong> designed by <strong>British architects Edwin Lutyens and Herbert Baker<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/li><li>The building is <strong>surrounded by large gardens<\/strong> and the perimeter is <strong>fenced off by sandstone railings (jali)<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/li><li>The foundation stone was laid on February 12, 1921, by the Duke of Connaught.&nbsp;<\/li><li>On <strong>January 18, 1927, Lord Irwin<\/strong>, the viceroy of India at the time, <strong>officially opened the building<\/strong>. At first, it served as the Imperial Legislative Council&#8217;s office.&nbsp;<\/li><li>After India gained its independence, it <strong>served as the country&#8217;s Constituent Assembly<\/strong>. Later, after the Constitution had been signed and the country became a republic, it <strong>became the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha&#8217;s home in the Indian Parliament<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/li><li>When they needed inspiration, <strong>Viceroy Lord Hardinge directed Lutyens and Baker to tour the majority of northern and central India&#8217;s ancient and mediaeval monuments<\/strong>, including Mandu, Lahore, Lucknow, Kanpur, and Indore. As a result, the Rashtrapati Bhavan, the Parliament, and other structures combine Indian and Western architectural styles.&nbsp;<\/li><li>The <strong>Chamber of Princes in the Parliament Building was also used by the Federal Court of India before independence<\/strong>. Afterwards, it served as the Supreme Court\u2019s location for over ten years before the court moved to its own building.&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"602\" height=\"286\" data-src=\"https:\/\/edukemy.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/image-203.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-10992 lazyload\" data-srcset=\"https:\/\/edukemy.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/image-203.png 602w, https:\/\/edukemy.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/image-203-585x278.png 585w\" data-sizes=\"(max-width: 602px) 100vw, 602px\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 602px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 602\/286;\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Chausath_Yogini_Temple\"><\/span><strong>Chausath Yogini Temple<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The grand Chausath Yogini temple stands atop a hillock in <strong>Mitaoli, in the Morena district of Madhya Pradesh<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/li><li>It was <strong>built around 1323 by King Devapala of the Kachchhapaghata dynasty<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/li><li>Dedicated to the <strong>64 (chaunsath in Hindi) yoginis<\/strong>, its architecture is different from the temples dedicated to one deity.&nbsp;<\/li><li>The temple is <strong>circular having diameter of 125 feet, with 64 chambers dedicated to the 64 yoginis, and a central shrine dedicated to Shiva<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/li><li>The <strong>64 yoginis are believed to be powerful warriors and sorceresses<\/strong>. According to mythology, a demon, Raktabija, had a boon that made him almost impossible to kill \u2014 everytime a drop of his blood fell on the floor, hundreds of offspring would be born off it. <strong>developed by the D\u00e9fense Research and Development Organization (DRDO<\/strong>).&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Features\"><\/span>Features&nbsp;&nbsp;<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>\u2018Pralay\u2019 has a <strong>strike range of 150 to 500 Swedish Bofors gun procured in the 1980s<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/li><li>It is a <strong>155 mm, 45-calibre towed artillery gun<\/strong> with a <strong>range of 36 km<\/strong> and has demonstrated <strong>a range of 38 km<\/strong> <strong>with specialized ammunition<\/strong>.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li><li>It is the <strong>first indigenously built long-range artillery gun<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/li><li>It is an <strong>upgrade of the existing<\/strong> 155m, 39 calibre Bofors FH 77 gun.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li><li>The <strong>Advanced Weapons and Equipment India Limited<\/strong>, carved after corporatisation
