<\/strong>Border Roads Organisation (BRO) has commenced the construction of a 64-km long Likaru-Mig La-Fukche road in Eastern Ladakh&#8217;s Demchok sector.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"blob:https:\/\/edukemy.com\/e65a341f-cb64-4c20-a980-3d3dcef09641\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"About-22\"><\/span><strong>About<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>This road project <strong>aims to provide connectivity to the military outposts in the sensitive Fukche sector<\/strong>, lying near the contested Line of Actual Control (LAC).&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Likaru-Mig_La-Fukche_road\"><\/span><strong>Likaru-Mig La-Fukche road<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>It is located <strong>close to Hanle in Eastern Ladakh.<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/li><li>The <strong>64-km long road will connect Likaru to Fukche,<\/strong> situated <strong>3 km from the Line of Actual Control (LAC).<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/li><li>Once completed, it will be the <strong>world\u2019s highest motorable road<\/strong> at a height of 19,400 ft <strong>in Mig La.<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/li><li>Currently, Umling La in Ladakh holds the title of the highest motorable road at 19,024 ft.&nbsp;<\/li><li>It is the <strong>first project in India to be carried out entirely by an All-Woman Road Construction Company<\/strong>.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li><li>It is led by a five-member All Woman Border Road Task Force.&nbsp;<\/li><li>Additionally, the <strong>BRO is undertaking other significant projects<\/strong>, including the <strong>Shinku La tunnel<\/strong> and the construction of the <strong>\u2018Nyoma Airfield\u2019<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><div class=\"pcrstb-wrap\"><table><tbody><tr><td>Umling La Pass:&nbsp;<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>It is a 52-km road that connects Chishumle to Demchok villages.
