Furthermore, the <strong>UN Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD)<\/strong> recently marked the inaugural International Day of Combating Sand and <strong>Dust Storms on July 12, 2023.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/li><li>To address the issue of sand and dust storms, policy and planning efforts should focus on reducing societal vulnerability by <strong>mitigating the effects of wind erosion<\/strong>. This requires a comprehensive approach involving multiple sectors, supported by effective information-sharing.
