These travelers, with their keen observations and diverse perspectives, provide us with a window into India&#8217;s rich past.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Megasthenes: The Father of Indian History<\/strong><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Time: 302 to 298 B.C.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Megasthenes, the ambassador of Seleucus, ventured to India during the rule of Chandragupta Maurya. He is credited with writing &#8220;Indica,&#8221; an invaluable historical account of ancient India. He studied Sanskrit, Indian philosophy, and socio-economic conditions in India.
