It will be an act of indiscipline which may amount to defiance.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li><li>Moreover, doing duty to maintain departmental efficiency by continuing with the departmental enquiry fulfills the moral responsibility of checking wrongdoing.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Brief_your_higher-ups_seek_directions_from_them_and_act_accordingly\"><\/span><strong>Brief your higher-ups, seek directions from them and act accordingly:<\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>There is no harm in informing senior officers and taking their advice.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li><li>It is better to keep the senior officers in the loop so that they may not form any false impressions. They are likely to give me practical and correct advice.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li><li>But the Commission\u2019s notice arose due to a complaint against the officer inconsequence of his official action. So, finally he has to answer the Commission. With this option I can fulfill all my obligations, reply to authority of the Commission, take seniors into assurance as well as minimizing personal harm.
