The UPSC CSE 2022 was held in two shifts: Paper 1 (General Studies \u2013 GS) was held in the morning shift (9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.), while the CSAT Paper was held in the afternoon shift (1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.) (2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.). Thousands of applicants took the exam at various locations across the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The degree of difficulty of the question paper generated diverse opinions from those who took the exam. The General Studies Paper was difficult for the majority of the students. In a departure from recent trends, the UPSC chose to ask more questions based on current affairs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In comparison to previous years, this year’s GS paper had a higher number of economic problems. In addition, questions about the environment, ecology, and science and technology remained prominent. In addition, the locations in the news were questioned. This year, a new type of question was added to the GS paper, which required students to select the appropriate number of matching options. Overall, the question paper had a surprising aspect and a new trend, but that’s what UPSC is known for!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The passage comprehension, basic numeric aptitude, and logical thinking sections of the CSAT paper 2 each comprised 80 questions. While the reasoning and passage questions were quite simple, candidates judged the quantitative problems to be slightly more difficult. Many aspirants agreed that the CSAT paper was lengthy and that keeping an eye on the timer was critical to ensuring that enough questions were answered quickly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s worth remembering that the UPSC CSE CSAT examination is a qualifying exam, with students needing to score 33 percent to be selected for the Mains. However, only the results of the GS paper will be taken into account when applicants are chosen for the UPSC CSE Mains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
