A patent attorney or patent lawyer is also an advocate. This means that an individual who has a law degree and has enrolled in The State Bar Council is an advocate who can deal with patent litigation and is hence a patent attorney.<\/li><li><strong>Statement 2 is correct: T<\/strong>he Bar Council of India visits and inspects Universities\/Law colleges in the country as part of its statutory function of promoting legal education and laying down standards in consultation with the Universities in India and the State Bar Councils.
