Consider the following statements about Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs) in India:<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>PVTGs reside in 18 States and one Union Territory.<\/li><li>A stagnant or declining population is one of the criteria for determining PVTG status.<\/li><li>There are 95 PVTGs officially notified in the country so far.<\/li><li>Irular and Konda Reddi tribes are included in the list of PVTGs.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Which of the statements given above are correct?<br>(a) 1, 2 and 3 only<br>(b) 2, 3 and 4 only<br>(c) 1, 2 and 4 only<br>(d) 1, 3 and 4 only<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Answer: C<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Statement 1 is correct and 3 is not correct: PVTGs constitute the most vulnerable section among thetribal, isolated inhabited, remote and difficult areas in small and scattered hamlets\/ habitats. They are economically backward and have low levels of literacy.
