Key Targets<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Targets\"><\/span>Targets:<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Achieve 5 million hectares of forest or tree cover and improve the quality of forest cover on an additional 5 million hectares of forest or non-forest lands.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Sub-targets\"><\/span>Sub-targets:<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Restore 1.5 million hectares of degrading dense forests.<\/li><li>Restore 3 million hectares of degraded open forests.<\/li><li>Restore 0.4 million hectares of grasslands.<\/li><li>Restore wetlands on 0.10 million hectares.<\/li><li>Ecologically restore 1.8 million hectares of shifting agriculture regions, mangroves, scrublands, ravines, cold deserts, and abandoned mining areas.<\/li><li>Increase forest and tree cover by 0.20 million hectares in metropolitan and surrounding areas.<\/li><li>Increase forest and tree cover by 3 million hectares on marginal agricultural lands, fallow lands, and other non-forest lands used for agroforestry.<\/li><li>Increase the income of 3 million households dependent on forests.<\/li><li>Achieve a carbon dioxide sequestration increase to between 50 and 60 million tonnes by 2020.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"GIM_%E2%80%93_Key_Highlights\"><\/span>GIM &#8211;
