According to Einstein\u2019s theory, light, just like any other form of matter, is affected by gravity. That is, the light also \u201cfalls\u201d in a gravitational field.<\/li><li><strong>Statement 2 is correct:<\/strong> General relativity also predicts the existence of gravitational waves, which have since been observed directly by the physics collaboration LIGO.
