He encouraged them to be unique, to have goals, and to be ready to fight for both when needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Think &amp; act different<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cMy message, especially to young people is to have courage to think differently, courage to invent, to travel the unexplored path, courage to discover the impossible and to conquer the problems and succeed\u201d he emphasized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Empathy for your colleagues<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Kalam was a leader who made sure his team members had a work-life balance. It was once, under a very tight project launch a scientist working under him requested an early leave as he was supposed to take his son to an exhibition. Engrossed in his work, it was three hours late when the scientist realised that he forgot his parental duties. Going back home with a guilty heart he was amazed to know that his son was not at home. Instead, he was at his exhibition.
