History repeats itself!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Previously, we read how History is actually about conceptual understanding, & how we as UPSC Aspirants, need to learn something from History, to implement it today as Civil Servants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today, we will see how History Repeats itself!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

When we say this, it means, that there are themes that are of more importance to be read in History when preparing for UPSC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Look at this question from UPSC Prelims 2015<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The question asks about the overall objective of the GoI Act, of 1919.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now look at this question from UPSC Prelims 2016<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This time, UPSC asked the same question but mentioned it as the Montague-Chelmsford Proposal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Further, if you look at this question from UPSC Prelims 2021<\/strong><\/a>, we again see a question asking for details on Montague-Chelmsford Reforms<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From a UPSC Mains perspective<\/strong>, look at this question on the Indian Renaissance<\/strong><\/a> from 2006<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The same question, with a wider ambit, gets repeated in 2019<\/strong><\/a>.
