It was approved by the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) in 2009 with an allocation of Rs. 2,000 crore.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Objective\"><\/span><strong>Objective:<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"has-normal-font-size wp-block-list\"><li>The primary objective of CCTNS is to create a nationwide online tracking system by integrating over 14,000 police stations across India.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Implementation\"><\/span><strong>Implementation:<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"has-normal-font-size wp-block-list\"><li>The project is implemented by the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB).<\/li><li>It involves the development of a Core Application Software (CAS) that integrates data and records of crimes. It is aimed at fostering the development of habitations situated within 0-10 kilometres from the initial settlement along the international border.
