It is a place of exiled Dalai Lama of Tibet in India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>(c) Aizawl:&nbsp;<\/strong>It is the capital of Mizoram and important city of North-Eastern Region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>(d) Konkan Railway:&nbsp;<\/strong>Known for great work of engineering, Konkam Railway is 700 kms long. A large number of bridges and tunnels have been made parallel to Arabian Sea over Konkan coast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>(e) Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary:<\/strong>&nbsp;Situated in Kerala, this sanctuary has been recently included as a tiger park, famous for tigers, elephants and other wild animals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>(f) Kovalam Beach:&nbsp;<\/strong>It is a beautiful beach resort of the Idukki district of Kerala, near Thiruvananthapuram and source of monazite sand in India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>(g) ICRISAT:<\/strong>&nbsp;It is the abbreviated form of International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics. It means science with human face. This mountain is a part of Garhjat hills. In the Archean formation some important rocks are found-granite, quartz and slate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>(II) Sibsagar:<\/strong>&nbsp;Sibsagar is situated in Assam. It is an important oil field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>(III) Khetri:<\/strong>&nbsp;Khetri is situated in Jhunjunu district of Rajasthan and is known for large deposits of copper and integrated copper mining-cum-metallurgical unit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>(IV) Kolleru Lake:<\/strong>&nbsp;This fresh water lake lies between the deltas of River Godavari and Krishna in Andhra Pradesh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>(V) Sind River:&nbsp;<\/strong>Sind River rises in M.P. and flows towards north and has also cut deep gorges at some places. It is an important right-bank tributary of Chambal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>(VI) Kalakot:<\/strong>&nbsp;Situated in Jammu &amp; Kashmir, here we find high quality of coal. A new thermal power plant is being built here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>(VII) Nathula Pass:&nbsp;<\/strong>It lies in Great Himalayas in Sikkim and connects Tibet through Darjeeling and Chumbi valley. These days trade between India and China takes place through this route.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>(VIII) Renukoot:<\/strong>&nbsp;Important centre for the production of Aluminium in Sonabhadra district of Uttar Pradesh. HINDALCO is also situated here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>(IX) Sabarigiri:<\/strong>&nbsp;Sabarigiri is situated in Kerala. There is a tidal power station here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>(X) Surendra Nagar:&nbsp;<\/strong>Surendra Nagar is situated in Gujarat. Jawahar Lal Nehru Port:<\/strong>&nbsp;New mechanised port named Jawahar Lal Nehru port has been developed at Nhava Sheva, off the Mumbai port.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>II.Chandra Bhaga River:&nbsp;<\/strong>River rises in the snow-covered Himachal mountains near Kullu formed by two streams which join at, Tandi near Kylong. After Kylong it\u2019s called Chenab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>III. Kaimur Range:&nbsp;<\/strong>In Vindhyan Range, eastern part of this range which is not covered with Lava is known as the Kaimur and the Bhanrer Range in the west. The Kaimur hills runs along the Son.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>IV. Dalhousie:&nbsp;<\/strong>The famous hill station in Himachal Pradesh. Refreshingly cool in summer. The hill station located in lesser Himalayas in chamba district of H.P.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>V. Ganga Sagar:&nbsp;<\/strong>Religious place in West Bengal. Ganga Sagar lies in south of W.B.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>VI. Indira Point:&nbsp;<\/strong>Southern most point of India. The Andaman and Nicobar islands lie in the Bay of Bengal. It\u2019s called Pygmalian Point.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>VII. Cardamom Hills:&nbsp;<\/strong>It is situtated in the extreme south of peninsular India, famous for spices, formed of gneisses and schists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>VIII. Bombay High:&nbsp;<\/strong>Located in the Arabian sea 176 km north-west of Mumbai, it is an offshore oil field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>IX. Nag Pahar:&nbsp;<\/strong>It is small range in Rajasthan which divides the city of Ajmer and Pushkar lake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>X. Gersoppa Falls:&nbsp;<\/strong>This fall is situated on the river of Sarawati in the state of Karnataka. It is also a source of hydel-power.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>XI.
