class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The Foreign direct investment (FDI) equity inflows in India reached a five-year low of USD 44.42 billion in the financial year ended 31st March 2024 (FY24), marking a 3.5% year-on-year (Y-o-Y) contraction.<\/li><li>The decrease in FDI equity inflows can be attributed to external factors such as high interest rates in advanced economies and limited absorptive capacity in various sectors in India.<\/li><li>Total FDI, encompassing equity capital, reinvested earnings, and other capital, contracted by 1% Y-o-Y to USD 70.95 billion during FY24 as per the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT).<\/li><li>Singapore retained its position as the top investor with USD 11.77 billion in FDI, followed by Mauritius, the United States, Netherlands, and Japan.<\/li><li>Maharashtra remained the most favoured destination for investors, attracting USD 15.11 billion worth of investments, although inflows declined by 2%, followed by Karnataka.<\/li><li>Computer software and hardware, services sector, and trading were the leading recipients of FDI, but all three sectors witnessed a decline in inflows.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n<div Khande Rao was supporting <strong>Imad-ul-Mulk<\/strong> and the Mughal emperor Ahmad Shah Bahadur\u2019s general, <strong>Mir Bakhshi<\/strong>. <\/li><li>On the other hand, Suraj Mal had sided with the Mughal emperor\u2019s rebellious <strong>Wazir Safdar Jang<\/strong>. <\/li><li>After Khande Rao\u2019s death, Ahilyabai was stopped by her father-in-law from committing sati.<\/li><\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Malhar Rao Holkar died in 1766, 12 years after the death of his son Khande Rao. Then Khande Rao\u2019s only<strong> son<\/strong>, <strong>Male Rao Holkar<\/strong>, became the <strong>ruler of Indore<\/strong> in <strong>1766<\/strong>, under <strong>Ahilyabai\u2019s regency<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Male Rao Holkar, too, <strong>died<\/strong> in April <strong>1767<\/strong>.
