To do this, Turkey needs powerful allies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pakistan fits that role perfectly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Why_Pakistan_Matters_to_Turkey\"><\/span><strong>Why Pakistan Matters to Turkey<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Pakistan is not just another Muslim country. It has one thing Turkey desperately wants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Nuclear weapons and missile technology<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Turkey has no nuclear bomb. Iran is trying but is not there yet. Pakistan already has it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So Turkey and Pakistan have built a <strong>quiet but deep strategic partnership<\/strong> that includes<br>\u2022 Defence production<br>\u2022 Drone technology<br>\u2022 Intelligence sharing<br>\u2022 Nuclear ambition alignment<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is why Pakistan uses <strong>Turkish drones<\/strong> in attacks on India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is not charity. It is an exchange of power.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Indias_Stands_That_Anger_Turkey\"><\/span><strong>India\u2019s Stands That Anger Turkey<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>India has taken several positions that directly hurt Turkish interests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"1_Cyprus_Issue\"><\/span><strong>1. Cyprus Issue<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>India supports the <strong>Republic of Cyprus<\/strong> and does not recognise <strong>Turkey\u2019s occupation of Northern Cyprus<\/strong>.<br>Cyprus also supports India\u2019s <strong>UN Security Council permanent seat<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This makes India an obstacle to Turkish ambitions in the Mediterranean.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"2_Armenia_vs_Azerbaijan\"><\/span><strong>2. Armenia vs Azerbaijan<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Turkey strongly supports <strong>Azerbaijan<\/strong>.<br>India has moved closer to <strong>Armenia<\/strong>, supplying <strong>missile systems and defence equipment<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This directly challenges the <strong>Turkey-Azerbaijan axis<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"3_Kurdish_Issue\"><\/span><strong>3. Kurdish Issue<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Turkey fights the <strong>Kurds<\/strong> inside its territory.<br>India has taken a <strong>neutral but human-rights focused stand<\/strong>, even maintaining relations with Kurdish regions in Iraq.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Turkey sees this as indirect support for separatism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"4_Armenian_Genocide\"><\/span><strong>4. Armenian Genocide<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Turkey denies that the Armenian genocide happened.<br>India officially avoided the term earlier, but in <strong>2021 India\u2019s Ambassador to Armenia publicly honoured Armenian genocide victims<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For Turkey, this is a red line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"5_Kashmir\"><\/span><strong>5. Kashmir<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Because India does not support Turkey on Cyprus, Kurds, Armenia and genocide recognition,<br>Turkey retaliates by supporting <strong>Pakistan\u2019s stand on Kashmir<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is a diplomatic trade-off.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_Three_Brothers_Axis\"><\/span><strong>The Three Brothers Axis<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Turkey, Pakistan and Azerbaijan now operate as a bloc called the <strong>Three Brothers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They support each other on<br>\u2022 Kashmir<br>\u2022 Armenia<br>\u2022 Cyprus<br>\u2022 Muslim world leadership<br>\u2022 Strategic military cooperation<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is why Turkey is willing to openly challenge India even at the cost of economic or diplomatic damage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_G20_Trade_Corridor_Shock\"><\/span><strong>The G20 Trade Corridor Shock<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>At the G20, India backed a major <strong>India-Middle East-Europe trade corridor<\/strong> that <strong>bypasses Turkey<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This would weaken Turkey\u2019s role as a trade gateway between Asia and Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For Ankara, this was a strategic insult.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What_This_Means_for_India\"><\/span><strong>What This Means for India<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Turkey\u2019s support to Pakistan is not emotional or religious.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is driven by<br>\u2022 Nuclear ambition<br>\u2022 Islamic leadership goals<br>\u2022 Anger over Cyprus, Armenia, Kurds and genocide<br>\u2022 Fear of losing regional power<br>\u2022 Economic competition<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>India, by sticking to <strong>international law, human rights and territorial integrity<\/strong>, has collided with Turkey\u2019s revisionist ambitions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That is why Turkey now openly supports Pakistan against India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is not temporary.
