There is a very good scope for growth for MTS recruits. They are promoted to LDC (Lower Division Clerk) in 5 - 6 years. In this way, they can get promoted without the need of giving another exam.
After this promotion, the next promotion takes place. The LDC promotes to UDC in 5 - 7 years. The UDC then gets promoted to assistant after 3 years of continuous service.
In this way, one can promote and grow continuously after getting recruited as MTS.
