The Syllabus of ESIC MTS is similar to that of bank exams and other government exams. Priority is Aptitude and General Affairs. The candidates are supposed to cover the following syllabus to crack the prelims and mains examination:
Syllabus for General Awareness - Current events, Indian Constitution, Awards and Honors, Books, Culture, General Politics, Economic Scene, Geography, History, Sports and Games.
Syllabus for Numerical Ability - Number Systems, The relationship between Numbers, Fundamental arithmetical operations, Percentages, Ratio and Proportion, Averages, Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, Use of Tables and Graphs, Mensuration, Time and Distance, Ratio and Time, Computation of Whole Numbers, Decimals and Fractions, Time and Work.
Syllabus for General English - Spot the Error, Fill in the blanks, Synonyms/ Homonyms Antonyms, Shuffling of sentence parts, Shuffling of Sentences in a passage, Spellings, Detecting Mis-spelt words, Idioms and Phrases, One-word substitutions, Improvement, Cloze passage, Comprehension passage.
Syllabus for General Intelligence- Number Series, Relationship Concepts, Similarities and Differences, Analysis, Space Visualization, Decision Making, Problem Solving, Observation, Judgment, Figure Classification, Visual Memory, Non-Verbal Series, Arithmetical Computation, Analytical Functions etc.
All the questions in the exam will be based on the above syllabus. Candidates should have a very strong knowledge of these subjects and topics to claim good results.
