OPSC Exam Pattern 2021

Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) releases the OPSC OAS Exam notification for all aspiring candidates who wish to join the Odisha civil services. The OPSC exam pattern involves three stages: OPSC Prelims Exam, Odisha Mains Exam and OPSC Interview. For final selection, candidates are required to clear all the selection stages successfully. All candidates who want to get selected must know all OPSC OAS exam patterns 2021.

OPSC OAS Exam Pattern for Prelims

OPSC OAS Prelims Exam will have two papers; General Studies I and General Studies II. Each paper carries a total of 200 marks each for a duration of 2 hours. Both Papers are objective type papers with MCQs. The table given below will tell you elaborately about the OPSC OAS Prelims exam pattern.

Further, you must score at least 33% in Paper 1 so that Paper 2 can be evaluated.

OPSC Prelims Exam Pattern 2021

Candidates qualifying OPSC OAS Prelims exam will be eligible to take the Odisha OPSC Mains Exam 2021 which is descriptive in nature.

  • The mains paper of OPSC will have a total of 9 papers. Out of the 9 papers in the mains exam, 5 papers will be compulsory papers and 4 papers will be optional papers.

  • Odisha OPSC Mains Exam will carry a total of 2600 marks.

  • The compulsory papers of OPSC OAS mains will carry a total of 1400 marks, and the optional papers will carry a total of 1200 marks.

  • Odia Language

  • English

  • English Essay

  • General Studies Paper I and II

  • Two optional Subjects: Paper I and II (To be chosen by the candidates)

Odisha OPSC Interview Exam Pattern 2021

OPSC interview or personality test is the last stage for selecting suitable candidates for OPSC exam 2021. The interview for OPSC OAS carries 250 marks. Candidates need to pass Odisha OPSC Prelims Exam and Mains Exams to be qualified for the OPSC interview. OPSC will conduct these interviews through a panel of expert people with sheer judgement and knowldge.

The board will evaluate the personality and the mental strength of the candidate in the OPSC Interview. They will also evaluate if the candidate can work under pressure or adverse situation. Based on the interview, the board will decide if the candidate is suitable for the post or not.
