Typing skill test

  • The candidates typing speed should be:
    • 30 Words Per Minute (WPM) in English 
    • 25 Words Per Minute in Hindi 

(Without any editing tools/spell check facility).

Document Verification

Candidates must go for document verification and this stage of Recruitment under certain circumstances:

  • Based on the candidate's performance in CBT II and based on the performance of candidates in both 2nd Stage CBT
  • Candidates equal to 50% of the number of vacancies for various posts.

 

Preparation Tips

Quantitative Aptitude

  • Work on your basics first. 
  • Then increase the level of difficulty 
  • Preparing up to the 12th standard level will be sufficient.
  • Practice for at least 3 - 4 hours per day 
  • The focus should be on the topics which are more difficult 
  • Must have all the formulas 
  • Figure out the logic behind every formula. 
  • Must solve previous years’ question papers and take mock tests.

General Awareness

  • Start reading newspapers and magazines such as The Hindu, The Indian Express, Times of India, etc. that can be followed for current affairs and general awareness.
  • Go through weekly GK blogs and watch the news 
  • Take notes of news on climate change, political steps, governance, historical inventions, scientific inventions, economy, polity, science and technology, and sports. etc.
  • Stay updated about national and international events 
  • Approx. 1-2 Mock Tests of the RRB NTPC Exam must be taken every day 
  • Static GK forms an important part of the general awareness section 
  • This section needs one to remember a lot of information, daily study, and revise
  • Refer to one of the latest Yearbooks from any reputed publication as well.
  • Must also have basic knowledge of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

General Intelligence and Reasoning

  • At least 2 - 4 topics of Reasoning Syllabus in a day must be studied upon.
  • Try to revise the topics which you have completed throughout the week. 
  • At least about 1 or 2 RRB NTPC Mock Tests on Reasoning and General Intelligence must be attempted.
  • Always revise the covered topics on weekends 
  • Try hands-on shortcuts but never rely on them. 
  • Follow 3 - 4 Books on General Intelligence and Reasoning.
