Staff Selection Commission-Combined Higher Secondary Level Examination is conducted to enrol the students who have done their schooling from a recognized board into various Government Offices.
For the Year 2018-19, around 13.17 lakh candidates sat for the Tier 1 examination of SSC-CHSL. Out of which 44,856 candidates made it to the main Exam (Tier 2), 29.4% of the total. Though the total number of vacancies available was enough for 5,789 candidates for the year 2019, in the year 2020, they only had 4,893 open vacancies.
Staff Selection Commission is a GOI (Government of India) integrated organization formed to hire prospective candidates in the ministry and all sorts of Government Departments.
