Suraj Tiwari, a resident of Mainpuri, Uttar Pradesh, faced a tragic train accident in 2017 resulting in the loss of both his legs, his right arm, and two fingers of his left hand. Fast forward to 2023, Suraj achieved success by securing the 917th rank in the UPSC CSE 2022.
Expressing joy, Suraj’s father, a tailor by profession, stated to ANI, “I am very happy today; my son has made me proud. He is very brave. His three fingers are enough to succeed.”

This time, Garima Lohia achieved AIR 2 in the UPSC exam, fulfilling her late father’s dream of becoming an IAS. Originally from Bihar’s Buxar, Garima pursued her studies at Delhi University’s Kirori Mal College. Mangesh Khilari, residing in Maharashtra and originating from Sukewadi village in Sangamner taluka of Ahmednagar, successfully cleared UPSC CSE 2022 this year. The son of a tea seller and factory laborer, Mangesh achieved the 396th rank in his third attempt. According to the Hindustan Times, he used to assist his father at their tea stall after finishing his college studies.
