The correct answer is Option 1.
- Several wild animal and bird species are listed in various schedules of the Indian Wildlife (Protection) Act of 1972. Â
- The Act protects wild animals, birds, and plants, as well as matters related to, ancillary to, or incidental to them. Â
- It is divided into six schedules that provide varying degrees of protection. Animals listed in Schedule I of the Wildlife Act have the highest level of protection in India. Option 1 is correct because the tiger is also covered in Schedule 1.Â
