What are all the Highest Posts in Indian Administrative Service?
The top position in the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) is the Cabinet Secretary. When starting their careers, IAS officials receive district training in their home cadres and then take on their first assignments. As part of their training, a new role as an assistant secretary in the Central Secretariat has been introduced, allowing newly appointed IAS officers to work in Delhi for a three-month assignment.
