Nationality
a) Indian or
b) Tibetan refugee (who came to India before 1 Jan 1962 with the intention of permanent settlement in India) or
c) Subject of Nepal or Bhutan or
d) Migrants of Indian origin from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam to permanently settle in India.
The candidates falling in categories b,c and d must have a certificate of eligibility in their favour issued by the Government of India. The said candidates may be admitted to the exam/interview, but the final appointment is subject to a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.

- The candidates falling within the purview of age relaxation categories must submit a certificate of caste/category issued by the Government of India.
Educational Requirements
- Graduate - Bachelors' in Engineering (preferably Civil/Mechanical/Electrical) or Bachelors' in Law or CA/CS/CWA/CFA or Masters' degree in any discipline (preferably in commerce/management/economics) from UGC recognised university/institute or PhD from institutions recognised by GoI/UGC.
- Minimum 60% (55% for SC/ST) required
Selection Procedure
- It involves an online exam followed by a personal interview. The candidates qualifying the written exam subject to the cut-off marks will be called for the interview.
- The written exam comprises both objective and descriptive questions.

- General Awareness - major focus on finance and banking sector
- English Language
- Quantitative Aptitude
- Logical Reasoning
- The descriptive portion will focus on finance and social issues
Exam Pattern
- Total Marks - 250 & Total Time - 180minutes
- Objective - 200 Marks & 120 minutes

- Descriptive -50 marks and 60 minutes
Two essays of 20 marks each and one business letter of 10 marks:
- Except for English Language Questions and descriptive questions, all others will be provided in English and Hindi language.
- Negative marking applicable (¼ deducted for each wrong question)
- Only the candidates qualifying for the objective test will evaluate their descriptive questions. However, total marks out of 250 will be considered for the interview.
